My name mikhail Kalashnikov

My name is Mikhail Kalashnikov, I am the inventor of the AK-47. I was born on November 10, 1919, from then on I always had an interest in how things worked, there wasn't a clock that I didn't take apart and put back together. In my later years I was conscripted into the Red Army in 1938, I became a tank driver-mechanic, achieving the rank of senior sergeant (tank commander) serving on the t-34s of the 24th Tank Regiment in World War II.
During the war; I was wounded in the hectic combat during the defense of Bryansk and so I spent a lot of time in a hospital. While in the hospital I heard some Soviet soldiers talking about how terrible the Soviet small arms of the red Army really are. For instance the M44 infantry rifle was accurate and did consume the most horrific quality of ammunition ,but the bolt action was not very smooth and sometimes got stuck continuous operation of the bolt action was very strenuous and tiring. Being so the m 44 rifle was not the best battle implement. Our automatic rifle the DP 28 was a good design but the round shape magazine got filled with dirt and grime from combat and often clogged the works of the DP 28; to many Russian soldiers have been unnecessarily killed because of inadequate equipment for the average Russian soldier. there was only one gun that caught my eye, it was the STG-44, being of German design I was reluctant of my infatuation with this weapon, but I thought I could design something similar.
At the end of World War II with the Soviet Army adopted a new combat rifle dubbed the SKS, which featured a semiautomatic, clip fed, fixed magazine. Which was accurate but had a low rate of from cinematic, and was very expensive to manufacture, because of these flaws the SKS was not the optimum combat rifle for the Soviet army I began designing a (assault rifle) for the Soviet army after a few prototypes I finally came up with the perfect design, a design which has influenced the world of infinite proportions. The Avtomat Kalashnikov 1947-(AK47) was introduced into the red Army in 1946 to select units of the red Army.
Features of the AK-47 included a 30 round detachable magazine, select fire from semiautomatic to fully automatic, stamped steel construction, the new 7.62 x 39mm-Russian ammunition, easy ability of field stripping. Etc. in fact the design was so sound that the US adopted their own version of an assault rifle the M-16.
Even though there are more of my AK-47s than there are any other assault rife design manufactured, any and all assault rifles on the present and future of all small arms weaponry. To this day I still design and test small arms weaponry for the Russian army.
